Sara & Jack’s Fantasy Elopement
Sara and I go way back. I met her older sister in kindergarten and we became instant best friends. From Girl Scouts and soccer seasons to family vacations, our lives grew up side by side. Our dads worked together, our siblings were the same age, and our moms were inseparable.
So when Sara asked me to photograph her wedding to Jack, there was never a question. Of course the answer was yes!
We got ready at Sara & Jack’s Duvall home, captured family moments in the woods behind Taylor Park followed by private vows followed by dinner and dancing at Novelty Hill Farm.
Anytime you get to be part of a fantasy-themed wedding it feels a little like stepping into another world, and Sara and Jack leaned fully into that magic. They went beautifully against the grain, trading tradition for towering trees, quiet vows, and a day that felt more like a storybook than a schedule.
Surrounded by support and love, this intimate gathering was full of intention of celebrating their way
Over the years I’ve had the privilege of documenting so many chapters of her life, her high school graduation, her engagement, and now her wedding day, tucked in the woods with the person who is so clearly her match.
Watching someone you’ve known since childhood grow into themselves and find their partner is an incredible thing to witness, and an even greater honor to be trusted to capture. Sara and Jack, thank you for letting me be part of your story.
